photo of futures kidsFUTURES Works is a dropout prevention program that provides daily comprehensive services to students attending: Forest Park, Frederick Douglass and W.E.B. Dubois High Schools and weekly services to FUTURES Works students in 31 additional high schools. It is a collaborative effort of the United States Department of Labor, Baltimore Rising, the Mayor’s Office of Employment Development and Baltimore City Public Schools.

The program provides the support of caring adult advocates, life skills workshops, cultural enrichment activities, mentoring, job shadowing, summer jobs and incentives to increase attendance and academic performance. futures works logo

FUTURES Works is based upon the highly successful FUTURES program, which served at-risk students in Baltimore City Public Schools for more than 20 years. FUTURES students had less than a 5% dropout rate, and more than 87% secured jobs or attended college immediately after graduation.
