What: YOUTHWORKS 2003 CAREER FAIR

When: Tuesday, May 13, 2003, 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Where: Ravens Stadium, North Club Level and 1101 Russell Street

Description: YouthWorks, Mayor O’Malley’s employment program for youth, provides Baltimore youth and young adults, ages 14 to 21, with summer jobs. At the YouthWorks 2003 Career Fair, more than 300 youth, ages 16 to 21, who successfully completed work readiness training, will meet and be interviewed by 70 businesses and organizations committed to hiring youth for the summer. (A list of participating businesses is attached.) More than 20 additional employers have also committed to the program but are unable to participate in the career fair.

YouthWorks is a service of the Baltimore Workforce Investment Board Youth Council, the Mayor’s Office of Employment Development and multiple workforce partners. YouthWorks supports youth in learning about work and careers and allows area employers to help develop the future workforce.
