Career
Connections is a partnership program sponsored by the Office of
Employment Development and the Baltimore City Public School System.
Career Connections brings educators, employers, students, parents,
and other community leaders together to prepare students for career
and educational opportunities. Through the Career Connections partnership,
employers can take an active role in molding and shaping students'
perspective of current industry trends and practices. The use of
Industry Advisory Boards brings business and the future workforce
together. Students gain direct access to industry opportunities,
and employers in turn have the capacity to access well-prepared
employees. The partnership does not just raise the quality of the
individual professions, but it raises the quality of living for
the entire community.
