Must be a graduate of an approved R.N. or L.P.N. program per state regulation, with minimum of two years of experience working as a nurse. Previous experience working with the elderly in a paid or volunteer position is highly desirable. Current state license as an RN or LPN. Must understand and be able to develop Resident Care Service Plan, understand advanced directives and end of life care and understand nursing in an assisted living facility. Must possess current CPR, First Aid and Heimlich certifications. Must have excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to relate in a positive and professional way to a diverse resident and employee population. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
Must be proficient in using state audit compliance tool, be physically able to move at least 50 pounds without assistance, physically able to bend, reach, and work in small areas, physically able to push and pull equipment and furnishings and physically able to stand for long periods of time.
