This is a one-year commitment as a member of AmeriCorps VISTA.  Work with staff and volunteers to define or refine the themes to be used in resource development communications with various types of stakeholders. Create new materials and tools to be used in resource development, such as a brochure, donor cards and envelopes, additions to website and possible video clips to be used in internet-based communications. Create new ways of reaching out to individual donors and establish a regular system of donor cultivation. Build our database of individual donor and prospect contact information, and train staff and volunteers in how to use it. Investigate local businesses in and near our catchment area and conduct an information campaign to let them know about Banner and determine possible linkages for complementary marketing, sponsorships, donations and other mutually beneficial relationships.
